Frostbite
I’m not cool— I’m ice cold
Like my friend Mumble from a little movie called Happy Feet, I am a tap dancing baby emperor penguin! But I just started this weekend, so I’m no Fred Astaire...yet!
After watching my tap lesson, you’ll have all it takes to break it down on the dance floor.
Let’s Dance!
It’s not just all the tapping that making me hot!
Emperor penguins live in Antarctica in a colony of 1 million. It’s really cold in Antarctica— the average temperature is -20°C (-4°F)— but it’s been getting warmer!
It’s beginning to get too hot to tap dance— tap dancing when you’re sweaty is hard! But warming temperatures are threatening more than just their ability to tap dance; they’re threatening the survival of the best tap dancing species! Warming temperatures cause glaciers to melt, and guess what… THEY LIVE ON A GLACIER! Please do your part to halt global warming and to keep emperor penguins alive and tapping!
